is tenure-track Researcher in American Literature at the University of Milan. Her research interests and published articles range from American literature of the 1930’s and 40’s (John Steinbeck, William Faulkner, John Dos Passos, James Agee, Raymond Chandler, Mari Tomasi) and of the second half of the 20th century (Raymond Carver, Grace Paley, Don DeLillo, Joan Didion, Cormac McCarthy), to environmental studies, screen studies, and Law & Literature. She has been working on a long-term archival research on the Italian translation and editorial history of American novels of the 1930’s and 40’s at the Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori in Milan. She is also currently focusing on a comparative research project on the German reception of William Faulkner at the Deutsches Literatur Archiv in Marbach (Germany) where the Rowohlt papers are collected. She has recently published essays on Pearl Buck’s and John Dos Passos’s presence in the Mondadori catalog and is now working on a book based on the FAAM archival findings.
