Paolo Caponi

Paolo Caponi

(Varese, 1967) is Research Fellow at the University of Milan where he teaches English Drama and English Culture. He has published on Elizabethan theatre and contemporary theatre and cinema, and has collaborated extensively with Piccolo Teatro and Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan. His books include: Adultery in the High Canon. Forms of Infidelity in Joyce, Beckett and Pinter (Milano, Unicopli, 2002), Bambole di carne. Lolita prima e dopo il romanzo (Pisa, ETS, 2009), and Otello in camicia nera. Shakespeare, la censura e la regia nel ventennio fascista (Roma, Bulzoni, 2018).
